Bawds Main Site. Cambridge's other established amateur drama
production company, with many credits and a lot of detail on
current, future and past productions.
The Penguin Club -
The Penguin Club exists to provide backstage support to amateur
societies in and around Cambridge. Its services are provided
free; and within its membership there are Set Designers,
Lighting Designers and Sound Engineers. It will put a call out
for Crew, has several SMs and ASMs; and experts in Props. This
highly respected club attempts to provide as much technical
backup as required for the successful staging of a society's
performances.

The Cambridge Drama Centre / The Junction
- Presents a varied programme of
amateur and professional productions. Regular features include
workshop sessions, classes and children's theatre. This popular
and well-supported Cambridge venue has comfortable seating
(reasonably priced) and a bar (which allows patrons to take
their drinks into the auditorium!). A new theatre / performing
space is currently under construction at The Junction site in
Cambridge.
The Cambridge Operatic Society
- a group of amateur singers who perform in the Arts Theatre,
Cambridge, usually in the last week of November each year, under

The Festival Players
- A group of enthusiastic amateur performers who currently
produce one major musical production each year. Also stage a
variety of workshops, concerts and social events.
Waterbeach Community Players
- A village group which encourages membership not only from
Waterbeach but also from further afield. Please visit the

Cottenham Theatre Workshop
- A village group drawing talent from within Cottenham and
further afield. The group stages three productions a year. Their
website is well worth a visit.
Girton Players
- Girton Players is a village theatre group, formed in October
1995. The group stages two or three productions a year at the
Glebe School in Girton and, on occasions, Impington Village
College. The group has also successfully participated in the
Cambridge Drama Festival. Holds open auditions for its
productions.
The Over Players
- an amateur group established over 20 years ago specialising
mainly in
musical theatre, pantomime, farce and music hall productions.
St John's Players

St John's Players are a long established theatre group, formed
in 1947. The group stages three productions a year at the
Fulbourn Centre, Fulbourn. It holds open auditions for its
productions, and new members are always welcome.
